Marion Elizabeth (Keddy) Holleman
1949-2019
Marion Elizabeth (Keddy) Holleman – age 70, of Grafton,
passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 29, 2019 after
living courageously through a battle with cancer. Born in Stewiacke,
NS, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Bent) Keddy, of
Billtown. Marion gave abundantly to her community, predominantly to
youth, through her years of service as a beaver leader and
administrator at Central Kings Rural High School, often going above
and beyond for students. She was an avid gardener. She found joy in
working and creating with her hands, through quilting, preserving, and
cooking. Marion was the ultimate hostess to family and friends, always
eager to share the newest recipe from her kitchen. Her love for her
family was ever present, even into her final days. Marion will be
lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, Simon; sons, Shannon
(Kelly) and Matthew (Kelly); daughter, Julianna Holleman-Van Meekeren;
grandchildren, Nerissa, Brittney, Harrison, and Kaïssa Van
Meekeren, Noah, Rebecca and Willem Holleman; four great-grandchildren;
brothers, Charlie (Doris), Doug (Nancy) and Stephen (Maryanne) Keddy
and sister, Margaret (Monty) Hall. She was predeceased by her
brothers, Robert (in infancy) and Gordon Keddy. There will be no
visitation, by request. A private family graveside service will be
held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of
your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
