In Loving Memory
Mrs. Joyce H. Owen of Cedar Crossing, Simcoe (formerly of Wyecombe) passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital on Thursday, December 19, 2019 in her 95th year. Loving mother of William (Renee) and Blake (Wendy). Cherished grandmother of Dylan (Carrie), Jessica (Dan) and Edward (Lindsay.) Loving great-grandmother of five. Survived by her dear sisters Sally (late Frank) and Barbara (Kurt). Aunt Joyce, and her cups of tea, will be missed by many much loved nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Margaret (Davies) and William Darlington, her husband, Arthur, her son Brian and by her sisters, Dorothy (late Pat) and Elsie (late Mitch) and brothers, William (late Adeline) and Jack (Liz). Joyce was a member of the United Church and the Wyecombe UCW. She taught Sunday School for many years, was an avid gardener, and enjoyed sewing and homemaking. Special thanks to Dr. Kennedy and the third floor staff at NGH. Respecting Joyce’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
