SCHOPF, Gordon Duncan “Gordo”
After a courageous battle, it is with deepest sorrow that the family announces the death of Gordon Schopf in his 79th year at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, December 24, 2019. Loving father of Christopher Schopf (Kara) and Tricia Schopf (Trevor). Grandfather to Lucas and Liam Shinner and Sofia Schopf, Kennedy and Dylan Whittam. Also lovingly remembered by Patricia Torti and Louann Torti. Predeceased by his parents, Viola and Adolph, brothers and sisters Addie, Helene, Bonnie, Louis, Rodney, Kathleen, Carrie, and Ron. Survived by sisters Judy, Chloe (Bob), Betty, Wilma (Ken), Barbara (Terry) and sister-in-laws Cheryl Schopf and Pauline Schopf and many nieces and nephews. Gord will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him but has made an everlasting imprint in our hearts and will continue to gift us with fond and cherished memories. Family and friends will be received at McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road North, Brantford on Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Funeral service to follow in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Shiloh Cemetery, Chatsworth at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Stedman Community Hospice or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
