Gerarda Boucher
1934-2019
Gerarda Boucher, 84, of Bouctouche Cove, passed away peacefully,
surrounded by her family, at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital,
Sainte-Anne-de-Kent on Tuesday December 3, 2019. She was married to
Leonard Boucher. Born in Saint-Louis, she was the daughter of the
late Ernest and the late Olive (LeBlanc) Frigault.
Gerarda was responsible for any lunches or dinners taking place at the
Bouctouche Golden Age Club for numerous years.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Léonard, her son Georges
(Pauline) of Sterling, ON, her two grandchildren; Addison and Ryan.
She also leaves to mourn her four sisters; Mae Despres of Cocagne,
Anne-Marie Sasseville (André) of Edgewater, FL, Adèle
Mailloux of Saint-Fidèle, QC, Jeanne LeBlanc of Dieppe, her three
brothers; Antoine, Arthur of Saint-Louis, Gerard of Innisfil, ON as
well as several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by two sisters Cécile and baby Yvette as well
as five brothers; Ovila, Edgar, Joseph, Hervé and Alcide.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de
l’église, Bouctouche on Friday December 6, 2019 from 7 to 9
and on Saturday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be celebrated
at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on
Saturday December 7, 2019 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish
cemetery.
In Gerarda’s memory, donations may be made to the CHUDUMONT
Foundation.
