Memorial Donation
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Geraldine Rita Young announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Thursday December 26th 2019 at the age of 86 Years . She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Walter (Cherie) Zelau in St. George’s, Sean Zelau in Flat Bay, Chris Zelau in Stephenville, Neil (Alana) Zelau in Ontario, Glenda Hutchings (Donnie) in Ontario, Wanda Zelau( Dave) in Ontario, Patricia (Anthony) Mazzone in Ontario, Margaret (Rick) Brown in Stephenville And Karen (Willis) Twyne in Stephenville. Also leaving to mourn 26 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Zelau and husband Edward Young, her son Craig Young, granddaughter Alisha, great grandsons Jace, Marcus, great granddaughter Aubrey, sisters Noreen and Eva and brothers Joe, Allan, Albert, Fred and Gerald. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place from Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville on Sunday December 29th from 7-9 P.M. from where the funeral will take place on Monday December 30th at 10 A.M. with interment at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the S.P.C.A in Geraldine’s memory. There will be a reception directly following the cemetery service at the Knights of Columbus in Stephenville. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital for their care and compassion shown to Geraldine and her family during this difficult time.
