Freda Mary
Sears, 59 years of Amherst passed
away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the Cumberland
Regional Health Care Centre with her loving family by her
side. Born in Amherst , she was a daughter of Marlene Gould
(Shannon) of Amherst and the late Vaughn Gould.
Freda loved to sing. She was ia member
of the Border Belle’s group. Freda was president of the
NSGEU. For many years she was Mrs. Claus for anyone that needed
her. Freda was the life of the party and very family
oriented. Family always came first.
Besides her mother, Freda will be sadly
missed by her husband,, of 35 years, Wendell, daughter,
Sarah Parker (Brad) of Hillsborough, NB,, special nephew,
Laidon Gould, sisters, Judy Gould (Harry Lucy) of Amherst, Rose Gould
(Andy Keirstead) of Amherst, Barbara Hanson (Robert) of BC, Janice
Gould of Amherst; brothers, Vaughn Gould Jr. of Amherst, Michael Gould
of Amherst, mother in law, Edith Sears of Point de Bute, NB, many
nieces and nephews.
Besides her father, she was predeceased
by her maternal grandparents, Edward & Nellie Shannon,
paternal grandparents , Harold & Alice Gould, father in law,
Coleman Sears.
Arrangements are under the care and
direction of Jones Family Funeral Centre,
70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). The family will receive
visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 2-4
& 6-8 p.m. Burial will take place in the Christ
Church Cemetery in the spring.
