Dr. Gerald Berks
Passed away peacefully on December 1, 2019 at 97 years of age. Born on April 8, 1922, he is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Joyce. Beloved father of the late Theresa Joyce Behie, Carole Ann (Zel) Rod and the late Ian David Berks. Loving Grandfather of the late Nancy Lynn, Susan Elizabeth, Michael David (Nicole), Jennifer Meghan (Robert), Scott William (Kristen), Allison (James) and great Grandfather of Margo, Natalie, Molly, Frank, Cordelia, Georgina and Riley. Gerald will be sadly missed by his extended family and dear friends.
Born in London, England, Dr. Berks joined the air force during the Second World War, following the war he was drawn to the medical field. At that time he was 27 years of age and already married with 3 children. He immigrated to Canada in 1957 and began interning at the old Grace Hospital to familiarize himself with the Canadian health care system. He then opened his own practice, which he maintained until the mid-1990’s.

Cremation services were held. Memorial Visitation on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
