It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doug on Sunday December 8th, 2019 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville at the age of 78. Beloved husband to Karen Delaney (nee Barraball) for 30 years. Much loved Dad to Lora Lynne, Shelley (Brian) Miehe, Greg (Donna), Shelley (Norm) Ellis, and Stephanie Geddes. Cherished grampie / gramps to Kate, Gillian, Erin, Deven, Rebecca, Megan, Matt, Cody, Carson, Piper, Barrett and 3 great-grandchildren. Brother of the late Joan Rivett. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville in the Emergency department, and the second floor medical. Friends and Family are invited to gather for a Celebration of Doug’s life at MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL on Saturday December 28th from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 P.M. If so desired donations may be made to the Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Memorial Hospital Foundation (Building Fund), or Parkinsons Canada. You may call the funeral home to make a donation or see a staff member while at the funeral home.
