Doris Marie MacLean
1926-2019
The death of Doris Marie MacLean occurred on Tuesday, December 10th,
2019 at the Veteran’s Health Unit in Fredericton, NB.
Born on Tuesday, October 12th, 1921 in Cumberland Bay, NB, she was the
daughter of the late Murray Jarvis Barton and Ruby Fern (MacVicar).
Doris was a lifetime member of the Women’s Institute, a member
of Grand Lake LOBA for 61 years and lifetime member of the Cumberland
Bay Baptist Church
Doris is survived by sons, Alan (Judy) of Cumberland Bay, NB, Bruce of
Briggs Corner, NB, Jim (Diane) of Golden, BC; daughters, Hazel
Turnbull (Hal) of Fredericton, NB, Helen Estey of Cumberland Bay, NB,
Phyllis MacLean of Cumberland Bay, NB; brothers, Harold Barton
(Glenna) of Fredericton, NB, Frank Barton of Fredericton, NB, Leonard
Barton (Eleanor) of Cumberland Bay, NB, Stanley Barton of Cumberland
Bay, NB, John Barton (Nora) of Chipman, NB; sisters, Ethel Whitehead
of Ontario and Lorna Barton of Lower Millstream, NB; 13 grandchildren;
26 great grand children; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Doris was predeceased by her husband A.
Judson MacLean; sisters, Mona and Betty; brothers, Allison, Lawrence
and Gordon.
Resting at Hogg Funeral & Cremation Services, (43 Main Street,
Chipman, NB) with visitation on Friday, from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. Funeral
Service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 14th at the
Cumberland Bay Baptist Church in Cumberland Bay, NB. Interment will
take place in the Cumberland Bay Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish,
donations made to the Cumberland Bay Baptist Cemetery Fund would be
appreciated by the family.
