BRETAGNEVILLE, NB – Delphis Richard
88, of Bretagneville passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris
Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Sunday, December 22, 2019.
Born in Bretagneville, he was the son of the late Albert
Richard and late Leocadie(Bordage) Richard.
Before retiring, Delphis was employed as a woodsman.
Delphis loved to entertain, playing the guitar and violin on
many occasions. He was also a member of the St. Ignace de
Loyola Church Choir for
fifty years.
Delphis will be sadly missed by his loving
wife of 63 years, Irène (DeGrâce) Richard of
Bretagneville; one
daughter, Jacinthe Richard (Louis) of
Pointe-Sapin; four sons,
Aldéo
Richard
(Nicole), Irois Richard (Annette), Guy Richard
(Thérèse) all
of Bretagneville, Michel
Richard (Josée) of
Clair; ten
grandchildren, Guillaume, Sébastien,
Jean-François, Maryse, Olivier,
Jean-Jacques, Lukas, Miguel, Ariane, Anabelle and two great
grandchildren, Fréderic and
Nayeli.
He is also
survived by two sisters, Rita Daigle (late Emile) of St. Louis, Alma
Daigle (late Antoine) of Dieppe; one brother, Eric Richard
(Alphonsine) of Gardner, MASS; sisters-in-law, Eva
Richard of
St. Louis, Jeannette Beaulieu of
Gardner, MASS, Yolande Richard
of Richibucto and
many nieces and nephews.
Besides his
parents, he was predeceased by one sister,
Jeanne and four
brothers, Lionel, Elzée, Alfred and
Elmo.
Visitation
will be held at Thompson Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Friday
from 7-9 pm, Saturday at 9:00 am until departure for the funeral.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 28,
2019 at 11:00 am, St. Ignace de Loyola Roman Catholic Church in St.
Ignace. Donations in Delphis’ memory may be made
to Saint-Ignace
Parrish.
