June 16 1928 – December 23, 2019
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother, Nonna, and Bis Nonna on Monday December 23rd, 2019. With her family by her side, after a brief illness at St. Josephs Villa at the age of 91. She rejoins her husband the late Fernando (1995). Dearest mother and mother-in-law to Carmen and Corrine Salciccioli, Florence and Marcello DiStefano. Loving Nonna to Johnathan and Erin, Christopher and Jennifer, Patrick and Olivia Peels, Alessandra and Joshua Rigby, Riccardo and Chianna DiStefano. BisNonna to Myles, Eliot, Lily and Luke Salciccioli, Alexander and Christopher J. Salciccioli. Loving daughter the late Clementina and Pasquale Buzzelli and daughter-in-law to the late Florenza and Dionisio Salciccioli. Beloved sister and sister-in-law to the late Fernanda and Mario Gizzarelli and Carmen Buzzelli. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Adelaide came to Canada December 1958. She worked very hard at various jobs. Her true loves were always her children and grandchildren. She had a very impish nature, always joking around. An avid gardener, she could feed the neighborhood. Her pizzas, ciambellas and amoretti’s are unsurpassed. She was strong willed until unfortunately, 2009 she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. We wish to thank so many wonderful and caring staff at St. Josephs Villa. They truly were her second family who were with her to the end. We were truly blessed by all. Visitation will take place at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL (43 Barton St E, Hamilton) on Thursday December 26th from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s Church (440 King St E, Hamilton) on December 27th at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers donations to Good Shepherd or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
