Thorn, Richard Norman Clare ‘Rick’
Passed away at Meaford Long Term Care at the age of 72.
Predeceased by his father George Clare Thorn of Lakefield and his in-laws Clare and Sally Ramsay of Meaford.
Survived by his wife Joan Elizabeth of Meaford, mother Betty Thorn of Lakefield, his siblings: Jeff (Judy) of Pickering, Peter (late Nancy) of Pickering, Susan (Brad) of Lakefield and Stephen of Pickering and by his nephews Kyle and Zack and his niece Sarah.
Rick had worked for Georgian Peaks for 20 years and The Georgian Bay Club for 13 years sharing his strong work ethic and mentoring ability with those around him. He leaves behind many friends who will miss his wit and dry sense of humour.
His favourite place in the world was at the family cottage with his siblings and he will go there one last time. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Thank you to the Meaford Long Term Care team for the respect and empathy shown throughout his stay there.
Rick had a great connection and love for dogs and is now with his beloved Shredder once again.
