Peacefully, with grace, courage and dignity, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, November 9, 2019, in his one hundredth year. Beloved husband of Mildred Esar for seventy-four years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Carol Meyers and Brian Newman, and the late Marvin; and father-in-law of the late Doug Ritz. Cherished grandfather of Robyn Fischer, Jonathan Fischer and Robyn Schwarcz, Tova Fischer (Mike). Proud great-grandfather of Shi-ana and Keyhmar; Jacob and Mila. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Sylvia and the late Hy Wiseman, the late Alex Myro; and brother-in-law of Phil and Sandy Esar, the late Irving and the late sally Esar. Robert will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to the doctors and staff of the Palliative Care Units at the Mount Sinai and Jewish General Hospitals.
