Maurietta Ruth Davidson
1947-2019
Maurietta Ruth Davidson – age 72, of Gaspereau,
passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019, in the Valley Regional
Hospital, Kentville. Born in Wolfville, she was the daughter of the
late Glenn and Minnie (Davison) Dorman. Maurietta was a loving wife,
mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, partner and friend. She
enjoyed gardening and yard work, especially mowing the lawn. She was a
cake decorator and especially loved Christmas, making wreaths and
kissing balls. She is survived by daughters, Karen (Charlie) Davison,
Newtonville; Linda (Darrell) Jordan, Forest Hill; son, Kendall
(Angela), Lower Sackville; partner, Gardner Foote; grandchildren,
Kristen Porter (Jamie Patterson), Ameila (Fy) Virani, Colton (Renee)
Porter, Tiffany (Brad) Berry, Talitha (Kenny) Blenkhorn and Dylan
Jordan (Darian Smith); great-grandchildren, Zoey, Zakhariah, Zander,
Zane, Wyatt, Aliyah, Tayla, Noah, Mia, Gemma; brothers, Elwood
(Doreen) Dorman, Coldbrook; Fraser (Pat) Dorman, Waterloo, Lunenburg
County; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband,
Murrille and grandson, Christopher Davison.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2019 in
the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service will be
held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in the Gaspereau
Baptist Church, Reverend Gary Manthorne officating. Burial will take
place in the Gaspereau Cemetery. A reception will follow in the
Gaspereau Community Centre. The family wishes to express their sincere
appreciation to the many doctors, nurses, health care professionals
and home care workers in both the Annapolis Valley and Halifax for
their care, kindness and compassion. Donations in memory may be made
to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted
to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
