Marion Elizabeth Douglas, age 77 of Stratford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on November 2, 2019. Born in Stratford, December 13, 1941, daughter of the late Lloyd and Ivy E. (Thorn) Oliver. Marion worked at Central Secondary School for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Avondale United Church, Stratford where she was involved with 3rd Stratford Scouting for over 55 years. In that time she received the Wood Badge II and the Bar to the Medal of Merit. Marion and Bill were recipients of the Senior Citizen of the Year Award and the Paul Harris Fellow Award. Beloved wife for 55 years of Bill. Loving mother of Robert (Jeri) and Richard (Joanne). Grandmother of Heather Wurm (Richard), Tim Douglas, Matthew Douglas, Daniel Love (Laura) and Zach Bean. Great-grandmother of Ellie, Cabhan, Ava, Dakota, Quinton and Damion. Also survived by brother Ted Oliver (Pat), sister-law Judy Gibson (Bruce) and many nieces and nephews, Sunday school kids and friends from Avondale United Church. Predeceased by loving sister Ivy L. Oliver.
