Our mom passed away peacefully at Cambridge Country Manor in Cambridge, with her daughter by her side on November 2nd, 2019 at the age of 94. She was born on April 8th, 1925 at Bowmanville Hospital to Howard and Shirlie Foley and was raised by her aunt and uncle, Lola and Harry Freeman. Dear wife of Ross Allin (2015), for almost 67 years. Loved sister of the late Iva Twist, Florence Cryderman, Louise Bell, May Pickard, Thelma Gilbank and Lyra Flintoff. Beloved mother of Gordon of Guelph, Marie (Ross) Brownlee of Guelph, and Calvin (Wendy) of Cobourg. Sadly missed by grandchildren Adrienne (Mike) Bell, Heather (Ian) McDonald, Trevor (Tammy), Scott, Quinlan and Mackenzie Allin, her six great-grandchildren, and by her step-grandchildren David, Paul, and Mia-Lyn (2015) Brownlee. Marion was a lifelong member of Newcastle U.C.W. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. A visitation will be held on November 15th, 2019 from 2 – 4pm and 7 – 9pm at the Newcastle Funeral Home. A service will be held on Saturday, November 16th, 2019 at Newcastle United Church at 1:00pm. Burial will take place at Bowmanville Cemetery following the service and following the burial there will be a reception at Newcastle Funeral Home. Donations can be made to the Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Hospital or the Newcastle United Church.
