CASSELMAN, Lyle – Mr. Lyle Wilson Casselman on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Heartwood Long Term Care at the age of 77 years. Lyle leaves behind his beloved wife of 55 years Greta (née McNamara) Casselman, sons Lyle (Sue) and Rodney (Leslie). Cherished grandfather of Boyd, Ben, Era and Nicholas. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Elva (née Runions) Casselman. Lyle will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Linda Archambault (Roger), Jean Thompson (late Bud), Marion Rae (Bill), Doreen Moore, Lila Linnett (Ron), Brenda Coleman (Barry) and his brother Brian. Lyle was an avid fisherman, hunter and curler. He was a graduate of Humber College. Lyle spent most of his career as a papermaker and pipefitter at Domtar in Cornwall, retiring in 2000 after 37 years of service. Lyle will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends. Lyle will be remembered as a man who would give you the shirt off his back, always making sure you had a smile on your face and a beer in your hand. A Celebration of Lyle’s life will be held at Knox- St. Paul’s United Church, 800 12th Street East, Cornwall on Saturday November 30, 2019 at 11:00 AM, Rev. Erin McIntyre officiating. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Society of Cornwall would be appreciated by the family.
