It is with great sadness that the family of Lillian Bernice Crouse, 95, of Mahone Bay passed away on Sunday, November 03, 2019 at Ryan Hall in Bridgewater.
Born in Tanner’s Settlement, she was the daughter of the late George and Pearl (Tanner) Tanner.
Lillian was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay where she was a member of the ELW and served on the Altar Guild.
Her love of life, family, friends and the community at large were so important to her and she will be missed by so many.
Lillian is survived by her daughters, Wendy (Gordon) MacIntyre, North River; Nancy (Marshall) Robar, Bridgewater; son, Sheldon (Carolyn) Crouse, Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Jason, Christopher (Heather) , Murray, Amanda and Nicole and great grandchildren, David, Katie, Logan, Emma, Ethan, Luke, sisters, Sylvia Silver, Dayspring, Charlotte (Fred) Cronshaw, Port Colbourne, ON; and a brother, Roseville Tanner, Northwest and several nieces and nephews.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Murray, son, Vernon, grand-daughter, Tanya and sisters, Marion Wentzell and Audrey Cook.
Funeral Service to celebrate Lillian’s life will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay, Rev. Adam Snook, officiating. Visitation at the church 12:45 – 1:45 p.m. prior to Lillian’s service. Interment will be in Sunny Valley Cemetery, Centre.
Flowers from the immediate family only, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to a charity of your choice, through the Dana Funeral L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg.
The family would like to Thank the Nurses and Staff of Ryan Hall for their care and compassion shown to Lillian while she was a resident at the nursing home.
