HOUSTON, Kenneth William “Bill” – Passed peacefully with his family by his side at the Pines in Bracebridge on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in his 85th year. Loving father of Gale (Paul) Russell of Stouffville, Jim of Newmarket, and David (Deanna) of Florida. Dear grandfather of Ryan, Sarah and Christina; great grandfather of Madeline. Brother of Annie Wilkinson of Orillia, predeceased by sisters Ettie Genno, Gladys Larmand, Verna Wright, and brothers Don, Gord, Ray, and Clarence Houston. Lovingly missed by many nieces and nephews across Canada and England. Fondly remembered by Donna Houston of Gravenhurst. Long time church member, Department of Highways employee and volunteer firefighter. Special thanks to Dr. Scott Whynot, the amazing staff and administration of The Pines Nursing Home, especially the Maple Unit, Mary Lodge, Natasha Duchno and Leigh Ball.
A funeral service will be held at Cavill Funeral Home in Gravenhurst on Saturday, November 23 , 2019 at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Memorial donations to the Pines may be made through Cavill Funeral Home in Gravenhurst and personal condolences and memories may be shared at www.cavillfuneralhome.com.
