Aikins, Marion Joy (nee Nix)
Died peacefully following a brief illness on Wednesday November 27, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 83. Joy of Stayner, beloved wife of George for over 62 years. Loving mother of Ann (Kevin Bushey), Jim, Mark (Wanda) and Glen. Cherished grandmother of David (Alana), Kristen (Tyler), Janine (Rob), Jason (Bev), Abby (Jordan), Janine, Elizabeth (Jordan), Gordon (Samantha), Aaron (Laura), Laura, Tom and Joel and great grandmother of Jaelyn, Liam, Addisyn, Jake, Levi, Jeremy, Emily, Hunter, Ben, Zoey, Macy, Joy and Arabelle. Sister of Gaye Nix. Joy was a woman of great faith, had a deep love for her family and had an abundance of energy. She was involved with many groups and causes including leading the singing at Boys and Girls Club until just a few weeks ago. She will be dearly missed by her community and her family. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Friday November 29, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday November 30, 2019 at the Stayner Missionary Church, 201 Ontario Street, Stayner at 1 o’clock. Interment Stayner Union Cemetery.
