Dainard, John Frederick entered into rest at Caressant Care on Thursday November 14, 2019. John was in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Jean and together they recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Father to Steve of Lindsay and Rick and his wife Ruth of Mississauga. Brother of the late Dorothy Moore, the late Dr. Bruce Dainard and the late Allen Dainard. Grandfather of Tina (Chris), Julianne (Jason) and Stephanie (Matt) and great grandchildren: Alyssa, Chad, Jessica, Liam, Logan and Dylan. Great Grandfather of Kylie. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. John led a simple life and enjoyed camping and trailering while his health permitted. He had a huge positive impact on his local community through his extensive volunteer work with the Moose Lodge and other local charities. He was instrumental in helping to raise thousands of dollars through shows and events. He had a love for hand-made crafts and many family and friends are fortunate to still have items that he made over the years. A Visitation at Stoddart Funeral Home, Lindsay, Saturday November 16 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Sunday 1:00 – 2:00. Funeral Service in the Chapel Sunday at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brain Tumour Association would be appreciated by the family.
