Fennell, Joan Evelyn (nee Broome)
October 25,1930- November 18,2019
Passed away peacefully at Hilltop Manor, Cambridge on Monday,
November 18, 2019 at the age of 89. She leaves behind her loving
husband of 64 years, David and her daughters Chris(Ross) Light,
Barb(Bill)Komer and Sue Fennell(Doug Wotherspoon). As well she
leaves many grandchildren – Jennifer(Trevor) Whittaker, David
Light(Jenna Hampshire), and Stephanie Light; William (Filia), Brent,
Robert, Matthew, Andrew and Leah Komer; Katie, Jack and Paige
Wotherspoon. She also leaves behind one great-grandson, Charlie
Whittaker. In her life, Joan was a gentle, kind woman who was a loving
wife, dedicated mother and caring friend. She enjoyed bridge,
«Happy Hookers», volunteering at the hospital and spending
summers at South Hampton. There will be a ‘Celebration of Life’ on
Saturday, November 23rd, 2019 at 12:30 pm at the Cambridge Mill,
100 Water Street, N., Cambridge. N1R 1P1. As expressions of
sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by
the family. A very special thankyou to the staff at Hilltop Manor
who took such special care of Joan. Arrangements entrusted to Corbett
