Obituary of Jean Marie Smith
SMITH, Jean Marie – Surrounded by her family at Bluewater Health, Jean Marie Smith died peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2019, at the age of 86. She was a small woman with a huge heart, wicked sense of humor and a tremendous love for her dog Abby. An active walker, bridge player and lover of theatre, Jean lived a full life and will be deeply missed by both friends and family. Beloved friend and wife of the late Brian H. A. Smith. Loving mother of David and Rubella Smith, Kevin and Tanya Smith, Cathy and Ernie Charette, Peter Smith and CJ Jung. She was a wonderful Granny to Nicole, Jonathan, Devin, Chelsey, Kirstin, Amberly, Aleigha and Great Granny to Savannah, Gwen, Connor, Parker, Camden, Harrison and Owen. Dear sister to Shirley Harris of Whitney, Ontario. In honouring Jean’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. A private memorial service will take place at a later date.
