Obituary
We regret to announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother Janet Evelyn Eyolfson due to a courageous battle with cancer on November 7th at the Portage District General Hospital with family by her side at the age of 79 years.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband Earl (Chub) of 46 years, children Dean (Debbie)Dubois of Portage, Gordon (Joy)Dubois of Alonsa, George Dubois of Thompson, Arlene (Dave)Armstrong of Polonia and Marion (Craig)Nelson of Portage. 13 grandchildren Cora (Simon), Sheldon, Jeneane (Wade), Lana, Kendra (Jon), Derek (Bruce), Nicole(Jamie), Jennifer, Michael (Amanda), Brandy, CJ(Megan), Leaha(RJ) and Kylee(Jayden). 14 great grandchildren Gracie, Henry, Jett, Remi, Hudson, Rory, Nora, Deacon, Kody, Bryce, Sophie, Ada, Alaina and Wyatt. Along with her siblings Donnie and Edward Brown, sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her parent’s Emily and Ed Brown and brothers Albert and Cyril along with numerous extended family members.
Janet was very generous, loyal and welcoming to everyone. The coffee was always on and an ear was always open. When you enter her door you came as a friend but left being known as family.
If anyone knew her they knew she enjoyed cooking or baking as she always had treats on the counter, she enjoyed visiting her grandchildren as they always brought a smile to her face. She always enjoyed a good dance as she taught all her children how to waltz, 2 step and maybe even a little jig once and a while. Her husband thought maybe knitting would be a good idea, but she had other plans for those needles. She decided to use them as darts and played for many years in the Thompson Legion Ladies Dart League.
Family and friends can join us to celebrate our moms life on Tuesday November 12, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Kinosota Community Hall with Reverend Jona Weitzel officiating. Interment to follow at Bluff Creek Cemetery with lunch after.
