BOYKO, James Gary
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of James «Jimmy G.» Boyko on November 10th at his home in Prince Albert Saskatchewan. Left to honour his memory are his two children, Blake Cade and Jenna Cade and her son Jordan. Also surviving are Jim’s siblings, Bob (Karen) Boyko of Saskatoon and his daughters, Julie (Aaron) Ward (and their children Grace and Evan) and Dana Holinaty (and her children Jenna and Louie ), and Josie Uthe of Saskatoon. In addition left to grieve Jim’s absence is nephew Richard Heineke and niece Nicole Heineke-Prpich (Stan) and her children, Matthew (Sarah), Jonathan, and Elyssa Prpich , all of Saskatoon. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Sally Boyko, sister, Barbara Heineke, nephew’s, Blair and Neil Uthe, brother-in-law, Robert Uthe, grandparents, Harry and Annie Boyko and numerous aunts and uncles. James was born on May 31st, 1952 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. As well as being a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, uncle and caregiver, he was an entertainer through and through. James had passion for music and loved to play several instruments, so he spent a great part of his life in several bands and played throughout Saskatchewan for all to enjoy. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at Windsor Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1st, 2019. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made in his memory to the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association Inc. found at www.canadahelps.org. Interment will take place at a later date.
