Hyman (Hymie) Linetsky
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hyman Linetsky on Sunday, November 17, 2019, in his ninety-seventh year. Devoted brother and brother-in-law of Rae and the late Lou Cohen, the late Mary and the late Abe Spector, the late Bertha and the late Percy Palevsky, the late Louis Linetsky and the late Lucienne Lachapelle. Beloved and treasured uncle of Franceen Palevsky and Bobby Breault, Barry Pall, Abi Cohen and Martin Goldsmith, the late Howard Cohen and the late Gail Davies, and by his grandniece and grandnephews, Melissa, Arlo and Lorne. Hyman will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Hyman’s caregiver, Linnie for her exceptional care and compassion, and the staff of The Waldorf residence for their kindness and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, November 21 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Russian Polish Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 7400 ch. de la Côte-Saint-Luc (main floor), Thursday following burial until 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
