Hilda Swan

Swan, Hilda – Age 94 of Tatamagouche, passed away November 9, 2019 in Willow Lodge Home for Special Care, Tatamagouche. Born in Middleton, Colchester Co., she was a daughter of the late Fred and Rhoda (Walker) Cameron. Hilda was a wonderful cook and she shared that skill by cooking in woods camps, as a construction site cook and in restaurants. She liked quilting, knitting, playing cards and rocking babies as one of her many joys was visiting with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Surviving are, her children, Garry (Shirley), Innisfail, AB; Myles (Gloria), Tatamagouche; Vernie (Brenda), Calgary, AB; Brian (Linda), Aldergrove, B.C.; Leta (Larry) Boutilier, Shearwater; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; sister, Leota, B.C.; nieces and nephews. Hilda was predeceased by her husband, Hugh; Companion, Harold Woodworth; sisters, Mary Jane and Margaret; brothers, Lloyd, John, Edward, Vernie and Calvin. Visitation will be held from noon until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13th in Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche with Rev. Penny Nelson officiating. Interment will be in The Falls Cemetery with a reception following the service in Roach Hall at The Hills of Annand. Family flowers only. Memorial donations to Willow Lodge Palliative Care Room Fund or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated. A special Thank You is extended to everyone at Willow Lodge for all the wonderful care given to Hilda during her stay there.
