Gerald «Jerry» Murray Johnson
1946-2019
The passing of Gerald «Jerry» Murray Johnson, husband of
Brenda (Myatt) Johnson of Digdeguash NB occurred at the Saint John
Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on November 13, 2019. Born on Deer
Island NB on February 28, 1946, he was a son of the late Edison and
Hulda (Searles) Johnson. A loving and devoted husband, brother, uncle
and friend, Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; one brother:
Carson (Diane) Johnson of Lord’s Cove NB; many nieces, nephews and
countless cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was
predeceased by one nephew: Robert Johnson; one brother: Floyd Johnson;
and one sister: Myrtle Buckner.
Prior to retirement Jerry worked various jobs and eventually retired
from Cooke’s where he was employed as a deck hand on the boats. He
loved the water and enjoyed passing his time fishing. When not on the
water, he could be found in his garage tinkering with one of his
passions, old cars. His easy going spirit and sense of humor will be
missed by all who knew and loved him.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. As keeping with Jerry’s wishes, no
visiting will be held. A private graveside service will be held at a
later date. In Jerry’s memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer
would be appreciated by the family.
