Death Notice
STEWART, Florence E. – Peacefully at Extendicare on Thursday, November 7, 2019, Florence Esther Stewart , nee MacDonald, London age 91.
Beloved wife of the late Douglas R. Stewart (2010).
Loving mother of Leslee Ingram (Laurence), David Stewart, John Stewart (Shaneen), and Andrew Stewart (Wendy). Dear grandmother of Adrien (Kristy), Benjamin (Robyn), William, Emily, Douglas, and great-grandmother of Maxwell and Abby.
Florence was born and raised in Montreal. She trained at the Royal Victoria Hospital before moving to London where she graduated with a BScN from the University of Western Ontario in 1968. She worked as a public health nurse in London, returning to the University of Western Ontario to obtain her Master’s in Nursing (MSN) in 1978. She taught at the university for 10 years until her retirement. Florence was a devoted grandmother and avid dog lover.
Special thanks to the caring, professional third floor staff at Extendicare London.
A private celebration of life is planned. Cremation and interment at Woodland Cemetery has already occurred. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to a charity of your choice.
