Obituary for
Emile « Punch » Larose
The family announces with sorrow his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at the age of 91.
Predeceased by his loving wives Ruth (nee Kydd) in 2016 and Jill (nee Crumb) in 1971.
Loving father of George Larose of Taber, AB, Bill Larose of Cochrane, Mary Nickel (Dean) of Cambridge, Joey Larose of Iroquois Falls, Patricia Bedyk (Rick) of Lamont, AB, his step-children Brian Labreche of St. Catharine’s, Tommy Labreche (Claire) of Timmins, Cheryl Boucher (Norm) of Timmins and Shelly Portugie (Claude) of Timmins.
Dear grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his sister Claire Pregent of Ottawa and brother Leonard Larose (Dolores) of Iroquois Falls.
Predeceased by his parents Rene and Mary Larose, and his siblings Aurele, Simone and Rita.
Survived by many nieces, nephews and by his in-laws Cora (Lucien) Caron, Bruce (Cheryl) Kydd, June Bujold and Sylvia Pregent.
Mr. Larose is a veteran of WWII and the Korean War.
He was an employee of Star Transfer in Iroquois Falls and Kirkland Lake.
The family would like to thank the following individuals, Doctors and Nursing staff at Timmins and District Hospital, Vera, Chrissy and Anu in the Hospice, his special friend Dr. Ethier, Terry Scott and the staff at Lasalle Residence (formerly Chateau Georgian) for their exceptional care.
Interment will take place at Abitibi Cemetery in Iroquois Falls at a later date.
Donations made to the Iroquois Falls Legion Br.70 or to the Canadian Cancer Society will be greatly appreciated.
