Elizabeth “Liz” Gummeson
Elizabeth Gummeson (Liz), 86 of Morrisburg, Ontario, passed away on November 4, 2019, at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side. She was born in London, England to the late Hilary Fulton and Joyce Bromyard. She married the love of her life, Roy Gummeson, on August 18, 1953. Loving mother to John Gummeson (Mary), Peggy Kaddie (Clem), Tom Gummeson (Ann) and Jane Gummeson. Beloved grandmother to Alana Kaddie (Mike Hooles), Tricia Parent (Chris), Adam Gummeson, Rachel Gummeson, Jessyka Loucks, Melissa Gummeson and Neil Gummeson. Dear great-grandmother to Adiyah Gummeson and Logan Hooles. She was predeceased by brothers Edward and John and sister Dorothy. She is survived by sister Joan and brothers Tom (Janet) and Jim.
Liz was a very creative lady and has left a beautiful legacy of hand-knit dolls, many beautiful afghans, as well as many decoupage creations. During her lifetime she enjoyed many activities including yoga and golf and was an avid cook and baker. She loved to read and play scrabble and upwords with family and friends. Liz was very proud of her family, and leaves behind many beautiful memories for all of her loved ones.
Funeral Arrangements
Funeral will take place at Lakeshore Drive United Church, Morrisburg, on Sunday, November 10th at 2 p.m. followed by a light lunch in Allan Hall. Donations to Lakeshore Drive United Church or Winchester Hospital would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Online condolences may be made at marsdenmclaughlin.com.
