GORDON, Douglas – Mr. Douglas Gordon at the Cornwall Community Hospital- McConnell Site on Wednesday November 13, 2019 at the age of 96 years; Veteran WWII-RCAF, Member of the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 297. Beloved husband of the late Yvonne (née Bedard) Gordon. Loving father of Greg (Margaret), Blair (Carol) and Philip. Dear brother of Jean Stone (Ed). Doug was at his happiest when surrounded by family. This was especially true of his grandchildren Lisa Gordon-Norman (Andrew), Katrina Griffiths (Derek); and great-grandchildren Leo, Henry and Luke. Predeceased by his parents Archibald and Isabel (née Cunningham) Gordon; brother Robert, and sister Bernice Lowe. The family wishes to acknowledge the impressive care provided to Doug by the Nurses and Doctor’s at Cornwall Community Hospital. In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery, Cornwall. If so desired contributions in his memory to Knox-St. Paul’s United Church would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall.
