MALCHOW, Christina
Christina Malchow (nee Rose) passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Claresholm, Alberta after a brave fight with cancer at the age of 96 years.
Chris is loving remembered by her children, Gail (Willie) Tschritter, Donna (Gordon) Gassner, and Wayne (Anita) Malchow; nine grandchildren, Ryan (Brandy), John (Linsay), Erin (James), Crystal (Kurt), Carmen (Brock), Jaime (Sterling), Kendra, Stacey, Kaitlyn; ten great-grandchildren, Kale, Kasandra, Emily, Aimee, Rebecca, Jana, Carter, Reid, Emery, and Owen; one sister, Helen Malchow, and numerous sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Chris was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Bill Malchow; her parents, Helen and William Rose; brothers, George and Lenard Rose. She was a teacher for over 30 years and volunteered with many organizations in the community of Stavely.
Cremation has taken place, and at her request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 200 – 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, Alberta T2E 2P5 or a charity of your choice.
The family is grateful for the excellent care shown by the doctors and staff of Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre in Claresholm.
