It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carole Ann Baron on November 11, 2019.
Carole Ann is survived by Ted, her husband of 58 years, her daughter Jennifer of Toronto, and her two wonderful grandsons Thomas and Nicholas Montemarano. Carole Ann was predeceased by her parents Clifford and Muriel Cory of Virden, Manitoba and her sister Ardith MacVicar of Calgary.
Carole Ann grew up in Virden and moved to Winnipeg to attend Balmoral Hall School. It was there that she quickly showed her leadership skills by becoming Head Girl of Residence and formed many life-long friendships. Carole Ann was never happier than when surrounded by family and friends. She always had time for the people in her life and they always felt special in her presence. Her greatest joy was spending holiday time with family.
Carole Ann’s kind spirit was felt through her various charitable endeavours. She was a long time supporter of Balmoral Hall School, a member of the Board of Directors for The Manitoba Theatre Center, as well as many other worthy organizations. She always lent her support to those in need.
Ever the fashionista, Carole Ann brought a sense of style to the community with her clothing store Comfort and Joy. She will always be remembered for her various hair colours, her big smile and fantastic sense of humour.
A special thank you to her dedicated care-giver Verlina Aquino and the entire team of doctors and nurses at Seven Oaks Hospital.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster United Church, 745 Westminster Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, friends may consider donations to the Arthritis Society or the Balmoral Hall School Endowment Fund.
