Anna “Anne” Volk of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Andrew Volk, passed away on Thursday, November 14th, 2019 at the age of 91 years. Anne also leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Ron Volk and his children, Mike (Leslie) Volk, Scott (Jill) Volk, and Crystal Volk (Russ); Rick (Patty) Volk and their children, Richelle and Alyssa Volk; her daughters, Vivian Dulle and her children, Chalsey (Phil) Goudet and Cory (Kiera) Dulle and Pearl (Maurice) Cornet and their children, Joshua (Erin) Cornet and Brianne (Bryce ) Dirk; as well as grandchildren, Christine, Unice, Shelley, Stacy, and Jaimie; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Valentine (Annie) Hoffner; sisters, Helen Leistmeister, Frances DeBoer and Irene Hoffner, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Anne was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Volk; her parents, John and Mary Hoffner; one son, David, in infancy; and daughter, Violet Lamy; three brothers, Martin, Johnny and Adam Hoffner; and three sisters, Katie Wendham, Phyliss Hoffman, and Mildred Heinz. Anne was born in Vibank, Saskatchewan. She moved to Medicine Hat and that is where she met Andrew Volk. They were married on October 16th, 1948 and together they started and raised their family. Anne loved baking, gardening, and cooking. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family; bowling or playing BINGO. As the family grew, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anne will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the Good Samaritan Society for the professional care and support they provided to Anne. A private family time of remembrance will be held.
