Angela Infanti passed away peacefully on October 29, 2019 at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. She was born in San Martino al Tagliamente in the Province of Pordenone, Italy.
Angela married the love her life Amedeo Infanti on February 15, 1947. She immigrated to Canada in 1956 with their two sons, Walter and Luciano, to begin their new life as a family. Angela was a terrific cook and soon after arriving in Trail, was employed at the Kootenay Hotel and later at the Colander restaurant for many years.
Angela was a hard-working and generous person. She took great pride in cooking delicious meals for family and friends. Angela made everyone who entered her home feel welcome. One of her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her free time Angela enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing. Angela was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Italo Canadese, and the San Martino Club.
She was predeceased by her husband Amedeo, sons Walter and Luciano and her siblings. Angela was a dear Nonna to Adam (Loretta), Angela (Nick), Jennifer (Donn) and Phillip. She will also be remembered by daughters-in-law Kathy and Phyllis, great-grandchildren Raffaella and Adeline, sister-in-law Ida and nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Francis dela Cruz. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and care aides at KBRH and Rosewood for their compassionate care.
