Alexander “Alex” Charles Stevens
1952-2019
It is with great sadness that the family of Alexander
«Alex» Charles Stevens announce his passing on November 24,
2019 at Hospice House Fredericton. Born on May 5, 1952, he was the son
of the late Perly and Viola Stevens.
Alex spent his life working closely with people, both as a
teacher’s assistant and in the addictions field. He will be
remembered for being an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, as well for
his quick wit and sense of humor.
He is survived by his children, Alex Abigosis, Richard
Stevens (Samatha), Matthew Stevens (Lindsay), Sarah McGovern Stevens
and Dustin Stevens (Meghan); 7 grandchildren; as well as many brother,
sisters and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Alex is predeceased by a
daughter, Candace (Cree) Stevens and a grandchild,
William.
The family wishes to thank the amazing care teams at the
Hospice House Fredericton as well as the many doctors and nurses who
cared for Alex during his battle with cancer at the DECH and Saint
John Regional Hospital.
A gathering to celebrate Alex’s life will be held
on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at McAdam’s Funeral Home
from 2 – 4 pm. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to
Hospice House Fredericton or Stan Cassidy Center for Rehabilitation
Foundation.
