It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Edward Ruth announce his passing on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 87 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories; daughters: Linda Wells (Gerard Gallant), Paulette (David) Bellows, Gertrude Elliott, Kathy (Alan) Pynn, Judy (James) Vincent; sons: Glen (Alfreda), Brian, Bill, and David (Darlene); grandchildren: Lisa, Nicole, Melanie, Tracey, Paul, Paula, Heather, Douglas, Jessica, Rebecca, Justin, Jordan, Jacob, Caitlin, Kelly, Bradley, Steven, Megan, Tara, Candice, Brittany, and Jenna; 22 great grandchildren; two brothers: Terry Ruth (Frances) and Junior Ruth; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Beulah (nee Eveleigh), 2016; parents: Harold and Gertrude Ruth; son-in-law: Wayne Wells, daughter-in-law: Mavis Ruth, sisters: Marie Curnew and Edith Bird and brother Horace Ruth. The family would like express sincere appreciation to their Dad’s Homecare workers; Annie Moninghoff, Wanda Parsons, Penny Young and Dolly Joyce, as well the staff of the Palliative Care unit, Thank you for your loving care. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Thursday evening , 7-9 pm and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m.. Funeral service will take place from St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church in Curling, on Saturday, October 5th at 2:00 PM with Archbishop Steward Payne officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As Expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. Mary’s Anglican Church.
