It is with great sadness that the family of the late Walter Gerald Payne announce his passing at the Western Memorial Reginal Hospital Palliative Care Unit on Monday, October 28th, 2019 at the age of 90 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife Bertha of 67 years; 6 children: Keith (Wendy), Dennis, Gerald, Bernie (Susan), Selma, Clarson; his brothers: Warrick, Bruce; his sisters: Bonnie and Donna; and a large number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Janice Fern; and his grandchildren: Dennis Lee Jr. and Ashley. Family and friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday, October 31st, 2019 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. from where the funeral service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Friday November 1st, 2019 at 2 P.M with Steve Joyce officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
