Thomas McFall «Tom» Morton
1956-2019
Thomas McFall «Tom» Morton – age 63, of Canning,
passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019. Born in Berwick, he was a son
of Mariann (Parker) MacKenzie and the late Ken Morton, step-son of the
late J. Donald MacKenzie. Tom excelled in sports and had a great love
of music and gardening. He was a custom furniture artist and enjoyed
giving new life to old pieces. Aside from his mother, he is survived
by his partner, Janet Poehl; sons, Andrew and Michael; step-son, Adam
Killam; sister, Carolyn (David) Morton-Busk; brothers, Dave (Carol)
Morton; Steve Morton; step-brother, Kirk (Bonnie) MacKenzie;
step-sister, Sherry (David) MacKenzie-Jennison; nieces and nephews,
Carson, Claire, Alannah and Jason. He was predeceased by his
step-brother, Bruce MacKenzie and his sister-in-law, Rita Cyprien.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral
service, by request. A private graveside service
will be held in the Hillaton Cemetery at a later date. Donations in
memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
