Theresa Helen Goodwin (Fischer)
Goodwin, Theresa Helen [Fischer] – With heavy hearts the family announces the death of Mrs Theresa Goodwin at the age of 73 years. Theresa passed away peacefully at the Extendicare Nursing Home in Kirkland Lake on Friday May 24, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on April 16, 1946 in Galt, ON to the late Arthur Fichser and to the late Bertha Feltz. Predeceased by her parents, Theresa is survived by her husband of 58 years John Goodwin; her children Christine and her husband Gary Elsey, James and his wife Sharon Goodwin, Ray and his wife Kim Goodwin and Jody and his wife Jenny Goodwin. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one brother, three sisters as well as extended family and friends. Theresa will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a member of the Fibromyalgia Group and the Tomstown Presbyterian Women’s Group. Theresa enjoyed gardening and watching all the different butterflies that would visit her garden. But most of all she enjoyed being in the presence of her family and friends. Her presence will be missed by all those whose life she touched.
A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 13, 2019 at 2pm at the Hilliardton Community Centre, A light luncheon will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Temiskaming Diabetes Program. Condolences, contributions and memorial candles may be left at www.buffamleveille.com.
