Obituary for Thelma Bernice Dagg
Thelma Bernice Dagg
February 2, 1944 ~ October 6, 2019
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Thelma Bernice Dagg, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend on October 6, 2019.
Thelma was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on February 2, 1944 to Charles and Elsie Peasley. The family moved to Jaffray, B.C. in 1945 and in 1946, they settled on the Peasley place on Rosen Lake Road where she was raised with her two brothers and four sisters.
In 1960, Thelma married George Dagg in Wardner, B.C. They started their married life in a tiny little cabin near Jaffray, B.C. Over the years their family grew to include a son, Billy, a daughter Laura and a second son, Wesley. All three children attended the Jaffray school, prior to the family moving to Mayook, B.C. in 1973.
In 1987, Thelma and George moved to Rock Creek, B.C. and eventually settled on the Cedro Valley Ranch. Together, Thelma and George spent many years running various businesses, from logging, ranching and cutting Christmas trees, to Cedro Valley Repairs and finally Myers Creek Guest Ranch. They were always working hard together. Thelma and George enjoyed various trips over the years and spending time in Arizona. When grandchildren joined the family, there were many Easter egg hunts, family fun days at the guest ranch, and family trips to Mexico and Hawaii.
In 2014, they moved back to the Mayook area, when George bought Thelma her dream home, She enjoyed many Scrabble games with her best friend and loving husband, George, time with her family and friends, and the occasional trip to the casino.
Thelma leaves behind her loving husband and best friend George, daughter Laura and son Wesley (Kellie), her grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Thelma was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Elsie Peasley, two brothers, Frederick and Gordon, two sisters Elaine and Sharon, son Billy and granddaughter Lori-Ann.
The family would like to thank the wonderful ICU nursing staff at Cranbrook Hospital for always taking such great care of Thelma.
