Obituary of Shirley McKeen
McKeen, Shirley Maxine (nee Drummond)
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at Erie Shores Healthcare. Shirley was born on January 6, 1926. Loving wife to the late Floyd McKeen (1995), and devoted mother to Fred (Gail), Ron (Rosemary), Wayne (Mary), and adored grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother to many. Shirley is survived by sisters Barbara (Ken) Tetzlaff, Lavoine (late Robert) Patchett, and Bernice (Ed) Woelk. Shirley will also be missed by a multitude of nieces, nephews and dear friends. Pre-deceased by her parents Burns and Annie Drummond (Wales), brother Jim Drummond, sisters Joyce Knight and Nancy Woollven, half brothers/sisters Glen Hyatt, Roy Hyatt, Evan Hyatt, Dorothy Mills, and Pearl Imeson. Shirley loved the outdoors whether pulling weeds in the garden or simply swinging on the back step. She was a woman of great faith who absolutely adored her family and visits with friends. She will be fondly remembered for her giving spirit, a heartfelt smile and incredible sense of humour. At Shirley’s request, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 2nd at 11:00 am at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Leamington with a Celebration of Life to follow.
