It is with great sadness that the family of Sara Riesman announces her passing on Monday, October 7, 2019. Beloved wife of Eugene Riesman. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Alexandra Reitman and Jesse Brown of London, England, Daniel Reitman of Vancouver, and stepmother of Diana, and Joanna Riesman and their families. Cherished ‘Savta’ of Jacob and Maya Brown. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Ronit and the late Raziel Goldberg. Loving aunt of Uriel and Dana Goldberg. Special thanks to Dr. Carmela Pepe. Sara was born in Tel Aviv. She studied at Tel Aviv University, served in the Israeli Army and came to Montreal as a hostess in the Israeli Pavilion at Expo 67. She graduated from McGill University and received a Master’s degree in linguistics from the Université de Montreal. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Friday, October 11 at 10:00 a.m. Burial at Temple Emanu-El-Beth Shalom Congregation Section, Mount-Royal Cemetery.
