Obituary of Sam Underwood
Underwood, Samuel Morris-65, passed away on Oct. 19, 2019, surrounded by his loving family in the New Infirmary Site, Qell Halifax. Born in Five Mile River he was a son of Phyllis (Dickson) Underwood and the late Basil Underwood.
Sam was a great woodsman and you could always find him in the woods or driving his truck delivering wood. He always made time for everyone and you could always find him and his friends sitting around the Dad’s kitchen table enjoying a good cup of coffee and a nice chat.
Sam leaves behind his son Craig, Prince George, daughters Courtney (Chris), Truro, Julie, Kennetcook, Amanda, Stewiacke, his precious granddaughter Samantha, his little baby doll and grandchildren Jordan, Peyton and great grandchild Skylin. Also surviving besides his mother Phyllis are brother Kevin (Anjeanette) and sister Marlene (Gary).
Besides his Father Basil, Sam was predeceased by his wife Beverly, brother George, sisters Diane and Carol.
Cremation has taken place with no visitation or service by his request. Private family burial at a later date in the Five Mile River cemeterey.
