Mrs. Ruth Newman
At Copper Terrace Nursing Home, on Monday October 14th, 2019, Mrs. Ruth Corinne Newman of Chatham in her 100th year. Cherished daughter of the late Myrtle and Marshall McFadden. Beloved wife of the late William “Jack” Newman. Loving mother of John and his wife Maureen, Bob and his wife Betty Ann, and Paul and his wife Kathy, all of Chatham. Beloved grandmother of Jennifer Newman Chinnick (Matt), Jaclyn Newman, Chauntelle Dziver (Joe), Shawn Newman (Lisa), Shannon Brennan (Pat), Alicia Newman (Dylan Oderkirk) and Paige Newman. Ruth will be greatly missed by her great grandchildren Gemmalynn, Julianne, Willow, Taylor, Jordan, Josh, Emilie, and Allison. Ruth is predeceased by her infant daughter Patricia, and her sisters Elizabeth Brooker, Helen Baxter, and Audrey Squires, and her brothers Clifford, Frank, Tom, Levi, and George McFadden. Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 on Thursday October 17th, 2019, with visiting from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of the funeral home on Friday October 18th at 11 am with Pastor Greg Simpson officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
