Nuttall, Nelson – It is with great sadness we announce that Nelson passed away suddenly at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, October 26, 2019 with his wife by his side on their 45th wedding anniversary at the age of 74. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Barb (nee Gallant), his children Michael (Andrea), Christopher (Stephanie) and Jennifer (Matthew) (aka pumpkin). He also leaves behind his grandchildren Joshua, Jonathan, Dominic, Toby and Camryn, his brother Sam (Nancy) and his sister Jean as well as many other relatives and friends near and far. He is predeceased by his parents Gerald and M. Victoria Nuttall, grandson Lucas Nuttall and brother-in-law Thane Johnston. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at KHSC for their care and compassion shown toward Nelson and to Stacey and Brenda who provided special care to Nelson in his home. A kind hardworking man with a large heart, Nelson was an avid gardener, happiest out in nature, chopping wood and working the land. He also loved doing home renovations and enjoying family gatherings. He had a 30 year career as a mechanic at Condie Pontiac-Buick and continued to tinker when possible into his older years. People will remember him as ever optimistic even though he suffered from MS for over twenty years. People will also remember his love of food, especially his sweet tooth for homemade baking. Funeral service will be held at Sand Hill Presbyterian Church, 2720 Sand Hill Road, Seeley’s Bay, K0H 2N0. Friday, November 1, 2019 at 2:00 pm, with reception to follow.
