BARKLEY, Murray Dawayne
It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Murray on October 11, 2019 at his home after a long courageous battle with cancer. Murray was in his 62nd year. Beloved husband of Dana. Loving father of Christopher, Helen, Skylar, Hunter, Jessie (Jade), Troy (Trish), Melissa, Nicholas and Alexander. Proud grandfather of Tristan and Khleesi. Murray is survived by five brothers and one sister, Garry, Donny, Roger, Bobby, Harold and Darlene as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother (Helen Barkley), father (Harold Barkley) and brother Eddie. He was self employed (Barmec Mechanical) for over 30 years. His magnetic personality and jovial spirit affected not only his friends and family but his customers as well. Murray will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at the Dennis Toll Funeral Home, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service to be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 149 Nash Road S., Hamilton, ON. Internment to follow at Oakhill Cemetery, 17 Jennings Road, Brantford, ON. Reception to be held at Dennis Toll Funeral Home following internment. If desired, donations can be made to St. Nicholas Serbian Cathedral in Hamilton.
