Obituary of Marie Lillian Galvin
Galvin, Marie (Tarbutt) – With great sadness, Marie’s family announce her passing on October 1, 2019 at the age of 98. Survived by her daughters Mary Jane Scott (Barry) of Smithville, Suzanne (Brian Macartney) of Vineland and Therese Heywood (Peter) of St. Catharines. Marie will be missed by her grandchildren Wayne (Cathy), Joanne, David (Lisa), Kyle and Connor and her great grandchildren Carly, Cameron, Quade and Avynmora. Marie is predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years Cameron and her beloved son Cameron Jr. (Kippy).
We are most grateful to the third floor staff of Heidehof Long Term Care, St. Catharines, not only for their excellent care but for their friendship and allowing our mother to live her final years with dignity and grace.
Visitation will be held at Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St., Vineland on Sunday October 6, 2019 from 2 – 4 and 6:30 – 8pm with Prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday October 7 at 10am at St. Helen Catholic Church, 4106 Mountain St., Beamsville. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Good Shepherd or a charity of our choice would be appreciated.
