Obituary of Laura Salvini
Peacefully passed away with family by her side at the Mauno Kaihla Koti, Ontario Finnish Rest Home on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Guiseppe (Joe/Johnny) for 46 years. Cherished mother of Michael (Lisa) and Ann Marie Shannon (Jason). Special Nana to Samantha and Cassidy Shannon and Sophia Rose Salvini. Daughter of the late Ricardo and Rose Luciani. Sister of the late Tony Luciani (Irma), the late Albert Luciani (Lena), the late Adeline Litalien (late Laurent), Mary Dubois (late Clarence) and Richard Luciani (Irene). Daughter-in-law of the late Annetta and Casimiro Salvini. Sister-in-law of the late Maria Nelli (late Adelmo) of Sault Ste. Marie. Special aunt of many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to the OFRA – New MKK or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Special thank you to all of the staff at both Mauno Kaihla Koti Nursing Home and Kotitalo Assisted Living Facility for their years of care and friendship.
